Lake Balboa
A pleasant man-made lake with a little waterfall and a tiny creek flowing out of the lake. Enjoy boating & bike surrey rentals, fishing, playgrounds, picnic areas, and room for biking, skateboarding, and rollerblading. Find the creek that runs from the lake and empties into the LA. River. Kids can float things down the creek, then retrieve them further downstream.

Directions
Car: Take Burbank Exit on the 405 freeway. Head West down Burbank. Make a right on Balboa. Continue down until reaching Balboa Park.
Transit: Take Orange Line to Balboa Station. Walk south until reaching Balboa Park entrance.

Sepulveda Basin Recreation Center - This is a gorgeous, spacious area with multiple parks, ample facilities, bike paths and one of the few soft-bottom sections of the River.
