Compton Creek
The city of Compton recently purchased this land and plans to nurture its development as an urban park. Today it is still a fun place for families to venture into the channel and explore this natural-bottomed creek, a tributary of the LA River.

Location
Use the parking lot at Crystal Casino & Hotel, then find your way to the adjacent green space along the river and head downriver. 123 E. Artesia Blvd., Compton.
Directions
Car: Head south on the 710 Fwy to the 91 Fwy West. Exit at Alameda/Santa Fe. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Alameda St/Campton and merge onto Artesia Blvd.
Transit: Take the Metro Blue Line towards Long Beach. Exit at the Artesia Station.
