L.A. River Walk — Below Balboa
A riverside path with shade and scenery that lets you explore the banks and look for the two rock ledges. You’ll be rewarded with wonderful encounters with an assortment of birds. People also fish for carp here.

Location
As you enter Lake Balboa Park, across from the big colorful playground, take one of several short paths that lead to the river. Parking: Across from the playground, Lake Balboa Park, Van Nuys.
Directions
Car: Take Burbank Exit on the 405 freeway. Head West down Burbank. Make a right on Balboa. Continue down until reaching Balboa Park.
Transit: Take Orange Line to Balboa Station. Walk south until reaching Balboa Park entrance.
