Trails
A level equestrian trail that curves around the Equestrian Center, with a spur to the Bette Davis Picnic Area, an approximate 2-mile loop. Trailhead: The Los Angeles Equestrian Center, along Riverside Dr. in Burbank. [insert photo: LAR_0115]
This favorite takes you from the Equestrian Center to the top of Mt. Hollywood, an approximate 5-mile round trip. Trailhead: Suspension bridge at Mariposa Street. An alternate start can be found at the horse-parking lot near L.A. Steamers.
North-East Griffith Park Trail
This route roughly parallels the river as it leaves Burbank, takes a big curve in Glendale, and ends in the North Atwater area. An approximate 4-mile round trip. Trailhead: Suspension bridge at Mariposa Street. An alternate start can be found at the horse-parking lot near L.A. Steamers.
From the Hollywood sign, this east-west route, which runs along the southern end of Griffith Park, cuts over to the River and offers great views along the way. An approximate 4-mile round trip.

Griffith Park Horse Rentals

Riders 7 years and older, and four feet tall and up, can ride for miles through the horse trails on Griffith Park's northern side.
